Dyslexia x Mental Health Virtual Workshops

Did you know that people with dyslexia are up to  to experience anxiety or low self-esteem? 

DAL’s programme is designed to help you reflect, create, and build with practical tools for emotional wellbeing for a stronger 2026—led by some of the most sought-after experts in the field, giving their insight designed especially for our community.

Dr. Megan Hayes is a journaling expert and author the book, “Write Yourself Happy: The Art of Positive Journaling.” She’ll discuss journaling’s relationship with mental health and provide some dyslexic-friendly journaling techniques. 

Dr Neil Alexander-Passe is a leading author and
expert on dyslexia and mental health. With decades of research, writing, and lived experience, he offers insight into the challenges of the neurodiverse community. He will provide an accessible overview of how neurodiversity impacts mental health as well as guide participants through building sustainable habits and meaningful connections in 2026. 

Chris Campbell is one of the UK’s top dyslexic content creators (@notcampbellsoup). He will host a fun and interactive session focused on on harnessing creativity for mental health. Participants will explore the benefits of creative expression, how to tap into their creative side, as well as learning strategies to overcome creative blocks and perfectionism that often affect dyslexic adults

Nicola Moore is a dyslexic nutritionist who has spoken extensively about the complex relationship between neurodivergence and nutrition. She will help you learn practical strategies to support focus, energy, and mood, including identifying nourishing foods, managing sensory challenges, and creating flexible, sustainable routines.
