Live virtual sessions | Wednesdays Starting Feb 11 – 7:30–8:30pm

Session 1: Understanding Your Money

Wednesday 11 February 2026 | 7:30–8:30pm
Speaker: Krystle McGilvery – Personal Finance Expert

This opening session explores the connection between dyslexia and money decisions. Designed to help dyslexic adults work with their natural thinking style, the session looks at how dyslexia can affect organisation, memory, and stress around money. We’ll explore common money beliefs and self-talk, how emotions like overwhelm or impulsivity influence spending, and include short reflection activities to help you clarify your personal financial goals.

Session 2: Budgeting 101 – Creating a Budget Plan

Wednesday 18 February 2026 | 7:30–8:30pm
Speaker: Nicola Ashdown – Bookkeeper

This practical session breaks down budgeting in a way that works for dyslexic adults. Nicola reframes budgeting as a supportive tool rather than a restriction, introducing straightforward, realistic approaches. The session includes a live walkthrough of a dyslexia-friendly Google Sheets budget, showing how colour, minimal categories, and automation can reduce overwhelm and adapt to different income types and energy levels. You’ll also learn how to build budgeting habits that stick, how often to review your budget, and what to do when plans change.

Session 3: Introduction to Saving and Investing

Wednesday 25 February 2026 | 7:30–8:30pm
Speaker: Alina Burlacu – Financial Coach

This session introduces saving and investing in a clear, beginner-friendly way—designed specifically for dyslexic adults who want to build confidence without jargon or pressure. We’ll explore why saving matters, realistic ways to get started, and how to build an emergency fund that feels achievable. The session also covers investing basics, including ISAs, pensions, and low-risk options, with the focus on understanding concepts rather than getting everything “perfect.”

Session 4: Planning for Your Future

Wednesday 4 March 2026 | 7:30–8:30pm
Speaker: Liam Cloughton DipPFS – Financial Advisor

This final session supports dyslexic adults in approaching future financial planning—covering the things we know we should think about but often put off. Liam will guide you through what you should have prepared, how to prioritise next steps, and how to build a simple financial plan based on your age and goals. Topics include pensions, wills, and financial protection, explained in plain English. The session ends with a short action-planning exercise so you leave with clear, realistic next steps and greater confidence about the future.
