Position: Membership ManagerListen

Location: Mostly remote working, some meetings in Central LondonListen

Report to: Volunteer Development & Communications ManagerListen

Works With: Other VolunteersListen

You: Very relational and empathetic towards the cause and willing to pitch innovative ideas to grow the community. Skills on WordPress and email marketing is a plus but not required.Listen

Job Description:Listen

  • Set up membership database and take charge of recruiting new membersListen
  • Ensuring current members are receiving their membership duesListen
  • Develop programs to grow the communityListen
  • Keep members up to date through various channelsListen
  • Create engagement programs where community members can participate, such as awareness and volunteer activities (i.e workshops, trainings, etc)Listen
  • Support the monthly support groupListen

Skills & Qualifications:Listen

  • Excellent writing skills in EnglishListen
  • Good interpersonal and communications skillsListen
  • Understanding of all social media channels, particularly Facebook and Twitter and experience using them in a professional context preferredListen
  • Self-starter with the ability to use own initiative and work independentlyListen
  • Someone who is passionate about dyslexia and dyslexia awarenessListen
Reimbursement of travel into co-working office (within zones 1-6) when attending meetings.Listen

Time Commitment:Listen

Be able to commit a day a week for a 3 month period, beginning ASAP, working remotely.Listen
