In this webinar, you will experience:

Extra points for talking like a pirate.

Bring a fellow pirate.

Sing your favourite sea shanty.

Share your pirate themed lunch.
And maybe read/listen to/watch the books as well, just in case. We’ll be discussing Pirate Women by Laura Sook Duncombe and Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Talk Like a Pirate Day is the only known holiday to come into being as a result of a sports injury. During a racquetball game between two friends, one of them reacted to the pain with an outburst of “Aaarrr!”, and the idea was born.
That game took place on June 6, 1995, but out of respect for the observance of the Normandy landings, they chose the inventor’s ex-wife’s birthday, as it would be easy for him to remember.
Look forward to seeing you there.
