Mental Health & Creativity

Our morning workshop will centre on the powerful connection between mental health and creativity, with a particular focus on the lived experiences of neurodiverse individuals. Neurodiverse people often face higher rates of anxiety, burnout, and low self-esteem, especially in environments not designed with their needs in mind. This session explores why that happens—and how creativity can be consciously harnessed as a tool for self-regulation, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

We’re proud to be joined by two of London’s most in-demand dyslexic voices: Natalie Brooks, founder of Dyslexia in Adults, and Chris Campbell, social media influencer and leading dyslexia advocate. Through their presentations, they’ll share how to better regulate your feelings and understanding your creative strengths can transform the way you support your mental health.

Financial Wellness & Planning

Our afternoon session shifts the focus to financial planning—an area that can feel especially challenging for neurodiverse individuals when advice isn’t delivered in an accessible or inclusive way. Financial stress is a significant contributor to poor mental health, and this workshop is designed to remove barriers by offering clear, practical guidance in a calm, neurodiverse-friendly setting.

The session will be led by Liam Cloughton DipPFS, Financial Advisor, alongside Nicola Ashdown, Founder of Dyslexia Desk Together, they’ll share expert, actionable insights to help you get your finances in order—building confidence, control, and long-term stability without unnecessary complexity.

Networking & Community

Are you looking to grow your community? Research shows just how powerful community connection can be for our mental wellbeing. People with strong social support networks are significantly less likely to experience anxiety, depression, and stress, and more likely to feel a sense of belonging.

Alongside the workshops, the event is a chance to connect in person with a community of like-minded people who truly understand your experiences. Outside of our support groups, we host very few face-to-face events, so this is a rare opportunity for us to come together.

We want to meet you, hear your story, and learn how we can support you better. Whether you come to network, share ideas, or simply feel less alone in a room of people who get it, this space is about community, belonging, and shaping what comes next—together.

Featured Speakers

Chris Campbell

“Harnessing Your Unique Creativity”

10:15am - 11:15am

In this interactive session, Chris Campbell explores the power of dyslexic creativity. Too often, creative thinking is dismissed as distraction,  when in reality it is one of the greatest strengths of the dyslexic mind. Through reflection and exercises, attendees will explore how to recognise their creative strengths in ways that support both their mental health and professional growth. This session will encourage you to consider how creative thinking can become a tool for confidence, self-expression, and wellbeing. Chris is a content creator and dyslexia advocate who shares funny and relatable content based on his lived experience.

Natalie Brooks

The Hidden Cost of Dyslexia – Chronic Burnout & How To End It

11:30 am - 12:30pm

Natalie Brooks, founder of Dyslexia in Adults, leads this interactive session exploring the often-overlooked link between dyslexia and chronic burnout. Through guided reflection and practical exercises, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how masking, overcompensating, and internalised pressure can impact mental health. Natalie created Dyslexia in Adults as an online community to host the honest conversations many adults were never given space to have. Her work focuses on building confidence, self-understanding, and self-advocacy with practical strategies that support success both in and out of the workplace.

Nicola Ashdown

“Dyslexia-Friendly Budgeting Techniques: Making Money Management Less Overwhelming”

1:15pm - 2:15pm

Budgeting advice is everywhere — but much of it relies on dense text, rigid tracking systems, and financial jargon that were designed for neurotypical adults. In this interactive session with Dyslexia Desk Founder Nicola Ashdown, she will share practical, dyslexia-friendly budgeting techniques designed to reduce overwhelm and build real financial confidence.

Inspired by conversations within the neurodiverse community, this session focuses on creating systems that feel visual, flexible, and easily applicable. Expect practical guidance, reflection, and space for questions — all aimed at helping you move from financial stress to financial control.

Liam Cloughton

Future Planning: The Financial Decisions You Don’t Think About (But Should)

2:30pm - 3:30pm

What about the bigger, more complex financial decisions that shape your future? In this interactive session, Liam Cloughton DipPFS will break down the important (and often overlooked) elements of long-term financial planning in a way that is clear and manageable.

From pensions and protection policies to investments, financial safety nets, and planning for unexpected life changes, Liam will provide attendees with an action plan. Liam Cloughton DipPFS is a Financial Advisor who is actively involved in our community and deeply passionate about supporting neurodiverse individuals — an audience too often overlooked in the financial planning and wealth management space.
