Building the Defence Dyslexia Network: From 200 to 1600 Members
Lisa took the initiative to establish the Defence Dyslexia Network, which began with just 200 members and has since expanded to 1,600 people across the Ministry of Defence. In this session, she will explain how she and her small team of cofounders grew this grassroots network, overcoming barriers, securing resources, and fostering a supportive community for dyslexic individuals in Defence.
Promoting Dyslexic Strengths and Inclusion in the Workplace
Lisa is on a mission to highlight the unique strengths that dyslexic individuals bring to the workforce. She will discuss how the Defence Dyslexia Network is helping to normalize dyslexia in Defence, breaking down stigmas, and driving initiatives aimed at creating a truly inclusive and neurodiverse workplace. Participants will learn actionable strategies for promoting inclusivity and celebrating neurodiversity in their own organizations.
